The site has changed drastically.  Since 2010 a large solar array has appeared; since 2015 new buildings have appeared 10 metres away.  But here’s the best part:

2019 Google satellite image:

It’s another sewage treatment plant- nice and warm.  Note the nearby buildings, equipment, and vehicles.

2014 street view:

The buildings have gone up since then.

This station is non-compliant, with temperatures reported at Latest Weather Observations but not used to adjust data at other Acorn sites.

Ahhhh the locals are spicing up the temperature for the BOM Ken !
    Well picked !

A query : I wonder if there is a more recent photo from the street. The grass at this site is nice and green and also mowed. I wonder if it is watered as well. It has the look of being a well manicured lawn..

At least there is not much UHI effects happening at this BOM site. It is on the edge of the town which is mostly further South.

A further query : temperature is a result of light from the sun leading to heating etc.

If there is a large solar panel array, lots of light is converted into electricity. Does this reduce local temperatures ? I don’t know the answer.

I know the panels get b. hot in the sun, and also reflect a lot of light.
