Opened: 1887

The station is very close to very tall trees and near large concrete slabs, and close to bare sand.

This station is non-compliant, with temperatures reported at Latest Weather Observations and used to adjust data at Acorn sites.


Percentage of all Australian sites not compliant: 17.27%.

    Ken I’ve looked on Google Earth at this BOM site. I cannot even see it there are so many trees. It is an automatic light house now. So there is No light house keeper to manage the vegetation on the site.

    By the way did you look at Lord Howe Island ? I think it is not compliant as well.

    OK Thanks for that Ken. But the BOM weather station there is at the airport surrounded by lots of what sems to be bare sandy ground.
