The screen is less than 20 metres from a large area of bitumen and buildings, 15 metres from a bitumen road, and less than 20 metres from a bank of dense tall (10 to 40 metres) trees.  40 metres to the east is a sugar cane field which can be from bare ground to over 4 metres tall.

This station is non-compliant, with temperatures reported at Latest Weather Observations and used to adjust data at Acorn sites.

Percentage of all Australian sites not compliant: 17.54%.

That concludes the North Tropical Coast & Tablelands district, with 8 out of 11 checkable sites (72.7%) not compliant.  That brings the Queensland tally to 54%.  Tomorrow we go remote- Torres Strait, the Cape, and the outback.
