This station is non-compliant, with temperatures reported at Latest Weather Observations and used to adjust data at Acorn sites.

  1. Bill In Oz Says:

The busy airport heat island effect is very strong here Ken.

And when one looks at this site through Google earth, it is very obvious that the whole site has been cleared of all native vegetation..That’s why the BOM weather station is sited on bare dirt.

And of course there is a lot of dust from vehicles wandering past.

Once again this is a weather station put there to assist with airline safety. But BOM is using it’s temperature record for another purpose : to adjust the temp record of it’s ACORN network.

In other words not right. In fact completely unprofessional.

The BOM’s ACORN network is completely contaminated by this sort of fake date.

    Incompetence rules at BOM !

I’ve asked my son for photos as he is able to get out on the tarmac as part of his work.
