Opened: 1993

Data used to adjust Acorn sites at: Albany, Esperance.

Location:   Co-ordinates  -33.8878 119.1092

370km south-east of Perth.

Close to trees and bushes, but on and surrounded by bare dirt/ sand, large areas of it, and a track right beside the screen.

This station is non-compliant, with temperatures reported at Latest Weather Observations and used to adjust data at Acorn sites.

FAIL

Percentage of all Australian sites not compliant: 27.07%.

    Ken I seem to have missed this one. Too busy yesterday cleaning up the garden !

    But you are correct. This BOM weather station does not comply with it’s own BOM guidelines.

    The Stevenson screen is again surrounded by lots of bare sandy soil which exposed to sunlight will get very hot.
