135km north-west of Adelaide.

The airport is in the middle of a wheat paddock, so the environment can vary from bare soil, to lush growing crop, to mature dry crop to about 0.4 metres.

This station is non-compliant, with temperatures reported at Latest Weather Observations but not used to adjust data at Acorn sites.

FAIL

Percentage of all Australian sites not compliant: 31.08%.

    Ken when I step back the Google Earth image, all the other farms around have been disked for sowing or are showing a tinge of green from new crop growth.

    But no so that paddock at the Kadina airport. It has in the past been a cropping paddock and looks as if it has been also cut & raked for hay baling.

    But around here those two different farm activities take place in different seasons. disking & sowing in April; cutting & raking for hay in November.

    So I find the Google earth evidence perplexing.
