BOM photo in the ACORN Station Catalogue:

Note the large bush a couple of metres from the screen!

The screen is close to bare dirt/ gravel in the chook pen, the camping area, and the carpark or driveway behind the Post Office. It is also too close to trees (and the bush).

This Acorn station is non-compliant, with temperatures reported at Latest Weather Observations and used to adjust data at other Acorn sites.

Percentage of all Australian sites not compliant: 33.01%.

    Well Bugger me !

I looked on Google Earth just to double check your conclusion. God there is an awful lot going on there at this ACORN site.

And the observations are used to adjust Acorn sites at: Ceduna, Eucla, Forrest, Port Lincoln, Tarcoola ? That’s nuts.

I wonder have the native mud wasps moved in yet as well ?
