Ken Avalon is the second busiest airport in Victoria. It has lots of regional flights, some interstate flights and some international flights used by the budget airlines wanting to reduce costs by not using Tullermarine/Melbourne airport..

In addition there is an aircraft maintenance & repair facility there as indication by the large hangers.

So I suggest there is from all this intensive energy use, a significant heat island effect happening at Avalon.

    No, not compliant !

    Fail !

Thank You. I have long been suspicious of the temps coming out of Avalon Airport as they seem too high compared to the surrounding stations (Geelong etc). It’s good to know that I wasn’t imagining things.
