Cressy Agricultural Research Station ? Run by scientists ?
Or at least run by people who know the BOM’s site guidelines ?

I guess the scientists at Cressy are too busy doing research to think about the impact of their research on the BOM station.

Now what crop could it be ? Probably industrial hemp. Which does grow tall and will shelter the screen from winds and also from sunlight.
    Bugger !
