The screen is 6 metres from a solid fence and on sloping ground, with creeks on three sides.

This station is non-compliant, with temperatures reported at Latest Weather Observations but not used to adjust data at Acorn sites.


Percentage of all Australian sites not compliant: 38.81%.

    Kne I wonder if that fence is in fact a stone wall..They are much more common in Tasmania than elsewhere in Australia. And the solid thickness of it suggests that to me.

    Of course the wall/fence shelters the BOM screen from wind.

    But so do all those buildings.

    NOT compliant with BOM’s guidelines..
