Opened: 1998

350km south of Sydney.

The siting of this station is pretty good. Grass within the enclosure is supposed to be trimmed to a few centimetres. However the site plan records grass to 0.6m inside the enclosure. Site plans back to 2014 have grass to 0.8m. This station is not well maintained.

This station is non-compliant, with temperatures reported at Latest Weather Observations but not used to adjust data at Acorn sites.

FAIL

Percentage of all Australian sites not compliant: 40.33%.

    Maintenance seems to be a key issue with many BOM stations Ken.
    Grass gets tall or someone sprays out the grass in the BOM area or someone plants trees or shrubs close to the BOM station.

    I wonder what precautions ( if any ) BOM takes ?
