1,100km east of Perth, 1,070 west of Adelaide.

The screen is on sand within a couple of metres of coastal shrubs to 2 metres.

This station is non-compliant, with temperatures reported at Latest Weather Observations but not used to adjust data at Acorn sites.


Percentage of all sites non-compliant: 48.5%.

    In the midst of sand dunes with native shrubs close to the sea ( The Great Australian Bight )

    So the bare sand will get hot under the sun’s intense desert light. ( Who likes walking on hot sand ) And heat up the air. And so there will be hot temp measurements.

    Meanwhile the shrubs nearby will blunt the impact of any winds whether hot or cold.

    Another BOTCHED BOM site !
